Knitted candy corn hat and scarf for Cody

My cousin Cody fell  in love with the newborn candy corn hats I made and asked for an adult sized one.  I wish I would have written the instructions as I was working.   I used super bulky yarn so it only took a day to make.

It was fun to make and even more fun to wear!

Crocheted Black Cowl for Cody

Well I made a cowl to give to Cody but Mar has claimed it while she was visiting.  So I made a black one for her.

Bloody Choker

Everyone on FB was making red velvet cakes and blood orange tarts in anticipation for the Dexter premier, but I will be sporting my Bloody Choker that I crocheted.  It will also be great for Halloween.   I will be making them for my Etsy shop for $15.oo

Altered Rolodex

This altered Rolodex is available at my Etsy Shop.  It is very similar to the one I made for myself several years ago.

Newborn Hats

How cute are these crocheted Candy Corn hats!!!  It was a free pattern found at Peanutzmom’s Pattern Place.  I changed the pattern just a little by doing 5 rows of orange and then 2 of yellow with a sc to end.  With the left over yellow and white yarn I was able to make 6 striped hats.  They kind of remind me of something a character in a Dr. Seuss story would wear.  I am sending one of the striped hats to my cousin and the others are going to Hazard ARH Regional Medical Center.

Crochet corkscrew necklace

At Crochet Me I found this cute little crochet necklace by Creative Yarn, check out her blog it’s full of great patterns and several versions of the crochet necklace.  My necklace lays really close to the neckline.  The flower didn’t look right to me so I made dangling corkscrews to hang from the center.  To make corkscrews just chain then do 1 sc in each and it will curl up as you work.  It was a very easy beginner project and super quick to crochet.  I used Patons Grace 100% Mercerized Cotton and 3.5mm hook.

Scarf for Brad

This scarf was knitted for my cousin Brad.  His only request was that it was functional,  I hope he likes what I have chosen.   Yarn used is Plymouth Yarn Encore in black that I got at Yarnside Gathering.   The pattern was free with the purchase of yarn, gotta love that.  This was a really easy and fast knit.
