The scarf is also a free pattern at Hank Yarn and Fiber called June is for Jag. They did one scarf a month for the year of 2008. Yarn used is Patons Angora Bamboo in Sienna Bronze. It’s the first time I have used this yarn. The yarn was very easy to work with, soft and blocked nicely. I look forward to working with it again.

Lace, lace, lace love lace! Last Feb I decided to knit this lace scarf with only knowing how to knit and purl. It was a challenge and frustrating at moments. I have learned a lot about knitting with this one scarf….mostly patience. In the beginning tearing out my mistakes was all I did so I set it aside an awful lot but was determined to finish. Yesterday I finished my lace scarf ….phew. Pattern is Arches & Columns it’s a free pattern from Crystal Palace Yarns. I used Patons Lacette yarn in Hint of Rose. Measures 9”x53”

Before and after being blocked. The ladies at Cloverhill Yarn Shop in Baltimore or as the locals say B’awlmer helped me with the correct way to block lace.
